Austin, Texas - February 13th, 2006

Carolyn Mark and her All-Star Canuck Boyfriends and Girlfriends. And yes, there's a macro in Photoshop that will do this.

Everyone doing unofficial showcases in the Hilton put their ironing board outside their door to display their promotional bumpf. It's not like anyone was ironing their clothes or anything.

Nice 20s jazz jam in the room of The Boulder Acoustic Society [that's a band, not a real society.]

More 20s jazz. Lots of ukuleles. They passed out kazoos to everyone in the room and we all got to play along.

Corb Lund Official Showcase.

Corb Lund Official Showcase after the acid took effect.

The blues, jazz, western swing and cajun/zydeco of The Red Stick Ramblers from Louisiana.

Red Stick in French = Baton Rouge.

Austin's Ginn Sisters showcasing in their room. Great sibling harmonies.

Women in Docs showcasing in the Australia Room. They will be at the Islands Festival in BC this summer, and perhaps the Mission Folk Festival.

Hamell on Trial from the Bronx in a workshop with Malcolm Holcombe from North Carolina. Despite their widely different backgrounds and styles, they obviously developed a genuine affection for each other's music almost instantly. And no, that wasn't moonshine in the cup that Malcolm kept passing to Ed Hamell.
